Coastside County Water District must approve water and fire service for new construction, tenant improvements, remodels, and additions. Applicants must submit specific forms and drawings for the District to review. The District reviews projects for compliance with District rules and regulations.
Applicants must apply online through the Citizen Access Portal. Paper plans are not accepted. The District is using cloud-based Accela Civic Applications to host the portal.
To use the Citizen Access Portal, you will need to be registered. Follow the instructions for registration when you first access the portal. Before you start your online application, be sure to have all your project information.
There are two application categories: (1) Building and (2) Public Works. Below is a description of the application categories, application types and additional documents that need to be submitted. Contact us at planreview@coastsidewater.org with any questions or concerns.
PLANNING: All project types when the Planning Authority (city or county) requests comments from the District when a project is in the planning phase of development. Required documents to start review process: (1) Agency Referral Form and (2) Plan Set (drawings).
RESIDENTIAL: Multi-family and single-family project types. Required documents to start the review process:
COMMERCIAL: All non-residential (commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural) project types. Required documents to start the review process:
MIXED USE: Combination of residential and commercial project types on the same assessor parcel number (APN). Required documents to start the review process:
FIRE HYDRANT: When a new fire hydrant(s) is required by Coastside Fire Protection District but there is no requirement for a main line extension. Required documents to start the review process:
MAIN LINE EXTENSIONS: When a development / project is required to install a pipeline extension in the District’s water distribution system. Required documents to start the review process:
