On October 13, 2020, the Coastside County Water District Board of Directors adopted a two-year rate schedule (see Resolution No. 2020-04.) A 5% rate increase became effective on January 1, 2020, and a 5% increase is to become effective on January 1, 2022. These rate increases are shown in the tables below.
Rates are designed to recover the District’s costs of buying, treating, and distributing water; funding infrastructure projects; and maintaining adequate financial reserves. The basis for the increase in rates is described in the Water Financial Plan and Rate Update Report dated August 3, 2020 prepared by the District’s water rate consultant, Raftelis Financial Consultants Inc. The Water Financial Plan and Rate Update Report, the approved Operations Budgets for FY2020-2021 and FY2021-2022, the approved Capital Improvement Program, the August 21, 2020 Proposition 218 Notice, and Resolution No. 2020-04 are available at the District office or online at www.coastsidewater.org.
